I LOVE some of our die-cut papers but they just aren't practical for card making. Especially if you're doing a swap. I've had my eye on this one for awhile & finally broke down & used it.

I decided that since I work at a scrapbook store that I should try my hand at scrappin a page or 2. I've done a couple of sets that sold fairly quickly. I've kinda been hanging on to these.

This is the final addition to the Christmas card class. By far, my fave. Anyone who knows me, knows that I am NOT a flower person. These caught my eye, tho. I simply couldn't resist.

These are cards that I did for an upcoming class at the LSS. I moved a couple of this months classes into November making that months toal 5. I WILL be taking Thanksgiving week off, though.

I had some time to play today & couldn't resist getting into my stash of Graphics 45 HALLOWE'EN IN WONDERLAND papers. This is what I have come up with so far. I still have a couple of ideas to put to use when I get some more time to myself.

These are so much fun to do!! A card inside a crimped envelope. I did this for a swap at SCS. You need to give it a try.

This is the holiday planner that I made for a swap at SCS's It has pockets on the inside front cover & bookmark tags. I had such fun making them & it came out so well that I decided to use it as a class project at the LSS. The cookies & cocoa will be on me!!

VIVA Pens are the HOT new HAVE TO HAVE!!! My LSS has the pearl pens in EVERY color & the glittler liners will not be far behind.
The dark squiggly line is the glitter liner in Haematite. Below it is the glitter liner in Holo. The top pearls are copper, followed by black & lite green. I popped all of these onto paper & immediately stood it up to take a pic. As you can see, even the lite green pearls that were dropped close enough to touch are still maintaining their round shape. I also have some of the glass effects to play with & am currently working on decorating a small vase.

I made this card for this weeks SFYTT challenge. It's my first time participating in this challenge. I needed a gift card for my niece that is having a baby girl, so I kinda killed 2 birds with one stone. Or card, I guess.

As you all know by now, my grandson is getting married next year. We have everything designed but are waiting on a few things to arrive. In the meantime, I have put together a few other options to display at the LSS. A lot of brides (or their mothers) are opting to create their own invitations but are always looking for ideas. There will be more to see later.

Notice the sparkle on Randi's finger! Jared finally popped the big question & they will be getting married in May of 2011 after she graduates from college. I see greatgrandchildren in my future!! We couldn't be happier for them.

Here's what's going on next week in class. During my last card class, somebody mentioned ATCs & we were off & running. We are even going to do a stair-step & a trifold. A couple of the girls are even interested in starting an ATC club.

JUST JEWELRY

I wanted to do something a little bit different for a class & I was dying to play with my alcohol inks, so here it is. The pendant was made with a ceramic washer & I used dominoes for the pin & key chain. I hope that they have as much fun as I did!

Well, it's Monday! That means it's time for another challenge. Today we are going to do a little embossing. My "FAIRYTALE" card was embossed with the Swiss Dots CB folder. The gold card was done with nestabilities scalloped ovals & gold embossing powder.

I am in the process of doing some very serious decluttering! There are soooo many new things that I want that it is time to let go of some of the things that I have rarely used, no longer use & even have NEVAH used. And I am ashamed to say that the "go" pile is bigger than the "stay" pile. Unless, of course, you add the 8 stamp sets & all of the other stuff that came in the mail today. Then there's the MFT order from the other night that will be here soon. And the stuff I got today at the LSS. Oh, and there are the 3 big bags of stuff from M's that hasn't been unpacked yet. Such a viscious circle!

I've come up with a few new things for the store for 2010. Weekly challenges are going to ge us started. The first one is a color challenge. I've got my samples done & will be posting them in the morning. Maybe you can play along. We are going to do a months worth of challenges & then have a coffe/tea clatch to discuss what we've done & what we'd like to try.
I'm headedd off to a family dinner & a little card playing today. Dreading getting out. It is soooooo COLD!!!

It's a new year & time to spread the wings a little bit. I've been checking out (& ordering) TONS of new things to play with. Like I really needed anything. I've already got a shelf full of stamps that have never seen ink, ink that has never been opened & embellies & ribbon that I am determined to quit hoarding. I have finally taken the leap into the world of blogging. It's going to be a "learn as I go" type of thing. If anyone is willing to lead me around by the hand--please let me know. I have a feeling that I am going to need all of the help that I can get.
