FOSTV CHALLENGE 31

Boy, it's been busy around MARK'S FINEST PAPERS & STAMPS a HEINRICH COMPANY the last couple of weeks. There was the regular hop for the new July releases (which were ALL totally fabulous!) and then the CHRISTMAS IN JULY hop PLUS all of the regular weekly challenges. Have you been able to keep up?


So, today brings us to a new challenge at FOSTV. DIE CUTS!! Right up my alley.  I LOVE to use dies. I would really hate to have to admit to anyone just exactly how many I own. It's a good thing that they don't take up too much room!!

Here is my card for the challenge---

The butterfly is from SPRING JOY. I masked off the egg & ended up with my focal image.
The paper is from my stash & I used SPELLBINDR DIES for the accents.

CHRISTMAS IN JULY!!

Well, it's the last day of our CHRISTMAS IN JULY blog hop over at MARK'S FINEST PAPERS & STAMPS a HEINRICH COMPANY. It's been a week full of cards, stocking stuffers, ornaments & more. I hope that we have managed to both entertain & inspire you. It's never too early to get started on all of those holiday projects. I have my supply shopping list all made out & am hittin' the road on Wednesday with my sister-in-law to get stocked up.

Anyway, the last project that we have for you is a tissue box cover. This was my first one & it was much easier than I thought it would be. It took no time at all. (I actually spent more time deciding what paper to use from my stash than I did creating it)

CHRISTMAS IN JULY BLOG HOP!!!

Well, the CHRISTMAS IN JULY blog up is almost over. All of us at MFPaHC hope that you have been able to follow along so far. If you're just joining in tho, make sure that you go back & check out all of the projects!!

The project for today was my favorite!! (except for the 30 min. that it took me to drill the hole in my glass block) I've already been talked out of this one & have ordered an entire case. (I've never been good at saying no to the kids LOL)

I took my picture at an agle so that you could see how I finished off the top.

It might be too hot to snow right now, but it is CHRISTMAS IN JULY at  Mark's Finest Papers & Stamps a Heinrich Company!! We all know how it is to rush around at the last minute trying to find the time to get our Christmas cards made in time to get them in the mail & delivered before the holiday actually comes & goes. And, if you're anything like me, you always have good intentions about getting started early but keep getting side tracked. This week we are putting away the pinks & purples, the pearls & jewels & the flowers & lace. It's all about the men this time. Your challenge, should you decide to give it a try, is to make a masculine birthday card. Now, I will be the first to admit that making masculine cards is not something that I do very often. (at least not on purpose!) The men in my life seem to prefer plain white envelopes with Visa gift cards in them. Anyway, here is my card for the week.

Guess what? It's Saturday again & that means that it's time for a new challenge at Mark's Finest Papers & Stamps a Heinrich Company. This week is all about blues & greens. Papers, inks, ribbons--whatever you can find to use!

My husband collects lighthouses so I grabbed one to prop my card up. And our temp, like most everyone else's, has been over 100 all week so I really wish that I had a body of waer close enough to dive into.

FOSTV CHALLENGE #27 RED, WHITE & BLUE

Welcome to another great challenge at FOSTV! With the 4th of July quickly approaching, we are using red, white & blue. As you can see, those aren't just the colors of OLD GLORY!!

What I used:
OOPSY DAISY from MFPaHC was used for the sentiment.
The shape of the card & the rose were created using SPELLBINDER DIES.
MS punches were used for the leaves & branches & TH distress ink in Barn Door was used to add a little extra color.
