FOSTV CHALLENGE #32

It's Monday!!! And you know what that means. We have a new challenge for you over at FOSTV. This week we are using chalks.

Now, chalks are not my go to medium for adding color to a poject. I do, however, like a good challenge. And once I get past the initial hesitation of digging them out from the back of the shelf, I really rather enjoyed using them. I opted for a tray of chalks rather than the pencils this time and I used a blender pen to apply them.

Please excuse the picture quality. My chalks were pearlescent & I had a hard time controlling the glare. So, to give you a good look at the chalked image, you can't really tell that my layer is embossed.

What I've used:

OOPSY DAISY
DEEP OLIVE card stock
FLECKED CHOCOLATE CAKE card stock
AGED SUNFLOWER card stock
SNOW STORM SMOOTH card stock
Memento Rich Cocoa ink
Chalks & blender pen
TH Distress Ink in Bundled Sage
Ribbon from my stash
Pop dots

I hope that you get a chance to play along this week!!

  1. Kate, your pearlescent chalks look very pretty. It had been a while since I used chalks, too, but I really enjoyed them and may just start using them more. I guess that's what a challenge does for me. :-) Great card!!

  2. Kate,
So pretty and soft! I'm not friendly with chalks and must find how to apply them with a blender pen!!
